Celebrating excellence at the Tasmanian Timber Awards
Posted 17 September 2025
PFT would like to extend a special congratulations to Malcolm Larner, winner of the Tree Grower of the Year Award sponsored by PFT.
PFT attended the Tasmanian Timber Awards recently to highlight and celebrate excellence in Tasmania's forestry sector.
We wish to extend a special congratulations to Malcolm Larner, winner of the Tree Grower of the Year Award which was sponsored by PFT.
Malcolm manages Semaphore Farm near Port Arthur in southern Tasmania. The property was purchased by his parents in 1970s. Malcolm manages the farm for sustainable timber production of native and plantation forests and has worked with local Forest Practices Officers to plan, harvest and regenerate areas of the farm over the past 25 years.
Most recently, Malcolm has worked with the Forest Education Foundation to host students and members of the community to Semaphore Farm to educate and bring awareness to others about sustainable forest management. Malcolm is a very deserving recipient of the Tree Grower of the Year award.
Congratulations to all nominees, finalists and winners at the 2025 Tasmanian Timber Awards.
